Who we are
Rizq operates a marketplace and directory that helps people discover and interact with Muslim-owned businesses and service providers. Oregon is our launch market, and Rizq is designed to expand across U.S. cities and states.
Information we collect
- Account information such as your email address and account identifiers.
- Business information submitted by owners, community members, or administrators, including business contact details, services, hours, photos, and availability.
- Marketplace activity such as messages, bookings, service requests, saved businesses, reviews, owner responses, and notification preferences.
- Technical and usage information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Rizq.
Location
Rizq may request foreground location access when you choose to use a nearby-business feature. We use that location to return nearby results while the app is in use. Rizq does not require background location tracking for this feature.
Camera and photos
Business owners may choose to use the camera or photo library to upload business images. Those permissions are requested for that purpose and are not required for ordinary consumer browsing.
How we use information
We use information to provide search and discovery, business profiles, messaging, bookings, requests, reviews, owner tools, notifications, moderation, fraud and abuse prevention, support, analytics, and product improvement.
When information is shared
Information you intentionally submit to a business through a message, booking, or service request is shared with that business so it can respond. Public listing information, published reviews, and owner responses are visible to other users. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
Service providers
Rizq relies on service providers for hosting, authentication, databases, transactional email, push notifications, analytics, and mobile app distribution. They process information as needed to provide those services to Rizq.
Your choices
You can manage push-notification categories inside the mobile app. You can update information you control, sign out, or delete your Rizq account from Settings. You may also contact hello@rizqoregon.com for privacy questions or requests.
Account deletion
Deleting your account removes the Rizq authentication account and personal account records associated with it. Some records may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or to preserve legitimate business transaction history in a de-identified or limited form.
Security
We use technical and access controls intended to protect Rizq accounts and business data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Rizq is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact us so we can address it.
Changes
We may update this policy as Rizq adds markets, features, or service providers. The date above will reflect the latest version.
